Charting software development

System XTick has two-levels architecture. First level includes Data Server software. Data Server connects to different datafeeds and has capability to get and save quotes into the databases (it uses internal database format - export and import data to/from external application is possible). There is setup of tickers and exchanges in Data Server. Also Data Sevrer forms delayed quotes if it is need. Data Server saves information about Users Accounts, creates Demo Accounts and checks accounts' expiration.

Some features of Data Server:

• saves exchanges information. Number of exchanges unlimited.
• gets and saves quotes and saves tickers databases. Number of tickers unlimited.
• saves users' accounts, checks access to system (Logins, Passwords, Users' rights to get quotes and histories). Number of Users unlimited.
• creates histories for users' requests. Any intraday timeframe (from 1 to 1439 minutes) and also daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual histories are available. User gets last 5000 bars (this number may be increased by 1,000,000). Historical data may be available from January 1, 1601.

Second level of system includes access servers (intellectual proxy-servers). May be one or more Access Servers in Level II. Access server may be located in that hosting as Data Server or in another hosting. Also Access server may be located in different geographic region or local network. This allows to decrease traffic for LAN.

Some Access Server functions:

• gets clients' requests and transmit their to Data Server or solves their itself.
• caches historical data, received from Data Server by User's request. This feature allows to reduce traffic between Data Server and Access Server and also to increase system performance.
• solves users' requests for ticker and exchange statistics and information (Top list, Loser list etc.).
• connects clients to system/ Each Access Server allows to connect up to 50,000 users (Charting software applications).

Two levels architecture has high secure and performance. This system allows online work with 1,000,000 users at the same time.
